Don’t be afraid

this chap did it

in the 1700’s

and you can do it too

There are plenty of way-markers and plenty of pilgrims so you shouldn’t get lost

But if you do get lost then stop

sit down and have a rest, a drink,

a snack, and wait

Someone will come along

But if they don’t then just calmly retrace  your steps

This is really important if you go

off Camino in bad weather on a mountain

Top Tip

Buy your boots in the afternoon after a long walk as your feet will then be bigger

Wear thick socks and buy a size larger than your town shoes

Your feet will swell about one size after a few days on the Camino
